Transient Run-Over on Pacific Highway
SAN DIEGO — A 40-year-old man described as a transient was struck by a car and injured about 8:35 p.m. Thursday while walking on Pacific Highway near Barnett Avenue in the Loma Portal neighborhood, San Diego police said. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was being treated for a broken pelvis and arm. He was struck by the side mirror of a car whose driver tried to swerve to avoid hitting him, police said. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
