EAST COUNTY — A vehicle with a body inside was found Thursday morning at Inspiration Point, the Sheriff’s Department said. The vehicle appeared to be similar to one belonging to a missing Julian woman, said sheriff’s Lt. Jim Nolan. On Monday, the Sheriff’s Department issued a call for the public’s help in locating the woman, Stephanie Brehm, 44, after she left her home about 8 a.m. in her Chevrolet truck. She was reported to be despondent. The vehicle was found about 8 a.m. Thursday, Nolan said. Inspiration Point is about three miles south of Julian. During a recovery operation several hours later, a Sheriff’s Department volunteer slipped and fainted, but was not injured, the lieutenant said. The Sheriff’s Department said a positive identification on the body would come from the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
