Senior Citizen is Killed While Enjoying Breakfast in El Cajon Carls Jr.
A 66-year-old man was hit around 9 a.m., at the Carl’s Jr. location in the Madison Plaza on the corner of north Second Street and East Madison Avenue. The senior citizen was enjoying his early morning breakfast while reading a newspaper at the front corner booth, when a 74 year old El Cajon resident plowed through the front facade of the building. The man, who was driving a small Honda CRV sport utility vehicle, hit the man with such force that he was thrown clear across the dining room to the opposite side of the building. Medical first responders pronounced the man dead at the scene The driver was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be moderate injuries.
