Firefighters extricated the man from the vehicle, and then pronounced dead at the scene. Before the accident, police had received a call about a vehicle being driven recklessly on the Silver Strand. 10News is a media partner of U-T San Diego.

The motorcyclist turned the motorcycle to the right and veered across several lanes of traffic and was ejected off his bike. A witness who is also a nurse gave the man first aid until the paramedics arrived to the scene. The injury victim was immediately taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital, via medical helicopter.

The motorcycle rider collided with a red Mazda pickup stopped at the intersection. The motorcyclist was heading west on Lincoln when he collided with the driver of the Mazda. The rider’s name was not released, but he is in critical condition at a nearby hospital, police report.

The San Diego Police Department responded to a call at around 5:30pm from the two men attacked by dogs on Cobb Lane near Coolwater Ranch Lane. Richard, is a competitive runner who was training to compete for a scholarship to Cal State San Marcos.

The victim of the accident was hit by a moving vehicle after making a left turn in form of oncoming traffic. He was immediately taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital. The San Diego Medical Examiners Office identified the victim as Todd Caulkin, 40.

The driver of the truck said he was in one of the right lanes when the car came from out of nowhere, and ended up being lodged under the rig at a 90 degree angle. National City firefighters freed the woman from the wreckage, then she was transported to a nearby hospital. The two right lanes of the roadway were blocked leaving traffic backed up almost to East Plaza Boulevard.

The hit-and-run accident was reported in the 100 block of East Park Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Other then the a description reporting the suspects vehicle as a beige four-door vehicle headed north during the accident, the San Diego Police Department does not have any leads in their search for the suspect.

The accident caused the victim to slid across the road before he fell down a 30-foot dirt embankment. The man was riding with a fellow motorcyclist who witnessed the accident. The man died from severe head trauma. No further information was available Sunday evening.

The accident involved a Riverside Transit Agency bus with five passengers, a box truck and four other vehicles. Of those taken to hospitals, one person was critically injured, two had moderate injuries and four had minor injuries, Cal Fire said. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

The victim was taken to a hospital where his injuries were said to be life-threatening and he was listed in guarded condition. The driver of the Trail Blazer was identified as 21-year-old Jessica Marie Bloom of Rancho Bernardo. She is being held at Las Colinas jail on $100,000 bail on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury and hit-and-run causing injury.
